Nesting
Dear amazing little thing, Only 2.5 days to go before we meet you and cuddle you and love you for the rest of our lives. I can’t wait; I’m super excited. Nesting is a term used for a boost of energy that Mums, who are close to giving birth, sometimes get. This is usually in the week or so before the due date. With Constance, I wanted to cook and prepare meals for the family just before she came but with you I’ve wanted to tidy and organise everything in the flat - toys, clothes and cupboards. I’m totally shattered but I know feel ready to welcome you home and, although things may be a little hectic in those early weeks, I feel sorting things now will help make things easier and happier. I’m sitting in my new breastfeeding chair while I write this; it’s very comfortable. I can’t wait to hold you my beautiful baby and kiss your warm skin. I love you immensely and will see you very soon, Love Mum xxx
